William Thomas Quillin
John E. Quillin (Uncle John Elmer to everyone) and Dennard
are the only ones I remember. (Nelson Lynch) Uncle John Elmer's wife,
Lizzie Wooten Quillin died recently. (2006 or 2007) She had numerous
Children by her first husband. He died from the great flu epidemic of 1918.
Aunt Mildred said Lizzie's father would put groceries on Lizzie's porch
and leave. He did not want to enter a house with the flu.
These are all half-brothers and sisters to Anne Quillin, Mildred's
mother and my grandmother.
William Thomas Quillin and some of his children are buried
in the Taylorville Cemetery. Look in the North-West corner.
Dennard, his son, made a concrete tombstone for him.
He died in 1914.
The house keeper is Ida Selby.
