Hi Margaret and Glenn, February, 2007

I still try to trace some of the Savage family,
especially Elizabeth’s daughters. It’s very
confusing since they don’t use the names I know
them by. Lemuel Coffin married Elizabeth
Savage in the Sound Methodist Church and she
and Lem appear in several census records as
Lem and Elizabeth. I recently found Lemuel
Coffin and Hannah E in the 1880 census,
pg 280 along with Asher W and William E.
Is this really Hannah Elizabeth
Savage, the second daughter of Elizabeth
Jane Savage?

Do you know any members of the present Savage family who might
know any of the Savage genealogy? And, What about Elizabeth’s other sisters?

Hope you are all well and the weather isn’t too bad.

Fred

Yo Comrades, (2/16/07) If the ages in the 1850 census are right, Lydia is older than Elizabeth.
If you go back to the 1830 census in DE, there may have been a boy who
was older than Lydia. Could this be Joseph Savage, age 30,
on Pg 245b of the 1850 MD census?

More questions!

From Margaret (2/15/7)

Here is the 1880 census for Hannah E.(Elizabeth) Savage Coffin.
These are the other daughters of Elizabeth Savage Elliott.
Martha A (Alice) Savage Coffin, Sarah J C Savage Evans Burroughs
Mary E. Savage. So it is Mary we don't' know about?

From Fred (2/14/06)Having to do withe the Lynches

Yo Comrades, James Lynch, 36, bn MD; Prudence (Parker), 34, bn DE; Hetty C, 15,
bn DE; George, 10, bn DE; Prudence, 6, bn DE; William J, 5, bn DE;
are in the 1850 census in the Baltimore 100, Sussex County, DE.
The Baltimore 100 Was just north of the DE/MD border and south
of Georgetown. I can’t prove it but I think James and family were
in the Northern District of Worcester County in the 1840 census.
James said he was born in MD in the 1850 census and the ages
of the family track over the 10 year span. We can find George Lynch
in the 1860 DE census but no one else. Cheryl may have some more data on this.
