Hello all, (From Bobbie Jones in reply to Fred Lynch)
Fred you may be right.

Trying to research has been quite an adventure!! Annie was listed first in what I wrote because I do not have any dates for. She may have been a younger child (b 1850-1860??). The info. I gave you is from a variety of sources (ie. census , death register, marriage records, etc.)

However my grandfather gave me info. as well. This leads me to believe she was one of the younger children he would have known or have heard about as a child.
What I have written from talking with my grandfather is : Siblings of George Mcgee / magee (b 1863) John Edward Janie (he said married a Lunn, but may be Jester) Lanty - short for Aralanta- married a Kincaid- no further info. Sarah Ellen - married a Jester?- no further info. Annie - married a Richardson and lived in Philadelphia. Of course, I wrote earlier that Jesse was "mean" and they were "glad to see him go." I think I may need to correct myself from an earlier note - It was one of George's cousins, a Johnny Mcgee, who was reportedly a hermit living near Fenwick.

Also, I wanted to give you some additional info on Lydia from family recollections. Lydia and her family actually lived on Assateague. When the land was condemned by the gov't. to create the wildlife refuge, the heirs received a small pittance. The home was moved off the island via barge and still stands on the East Side Rd. on Chincoteague.
Per the family, Lydia moved to Virginia due to a land dispute. The family believes the dispute was between her and her brothers, but possibly it was with Jesse's family or her older children??
Wouldn't it be interesting to find info. on this!! In either case, she and her children walked down the beach from Maryland to Assateague. This was before the storm that created the inlet at Ocean City. There are no records of Lydia's death , and her grave is unmarked - probably on Assateague. However, my grandfather always said she died at age 104, shortly after breaking in a horse!!

With regards to Wesley and Jane, that info came from Marriage Records of Accomack Co., VA 1854-1895. I have Checked out some books from the library recently. Unfortunately, their genealogy room was not open the day I went. I've had no luck with the Coffin name, except for an Isaac Coffin that Lived on Chinco. (1821-1892)

I'll keep looking.
